Vasa/Vaasa Walks

Vaasa Walks is a GPS-based guide to the city of Vasa, Finland. By starting up the app, your guide will appear in a video to get you started. All you have to do is follow her instructions, and the different points on the map, to get to learn a lot of interesting things about people, places and historical facts in Vasa.

There are three language versions of the app - English, Finnish and Swedish. The content in the app is based on a guide written by a group of seniors in cooperation with the organisation Folkhälsan.

You are encouraged to be interactive as well. Tell a story of your own memories of places in Vasa, or take a picture of yourself while doing the walk. You can share your stories through email, via phone or on the project's Facebook page - the links are displayed at the end of the app experience.
